Anniversaries & Picnics

Another week down and one more closer to summer! The kids are beyond ready for summer to arrive and I'm not going to lie…I'm ready to be done teaching for the year as well! Tim was busy again traveling for work as it;s a heavy travel season meeting new people and gaining new customers. It usually means more friends and adventures too. Thanks to Tim, we enjoyed some unnecessary calories with our friends Ben & Jerry which are always delicious treat. Addi was gracious to make all of us lunch which we enjoyed outside in the warm sunshine. She is now wrapping up her math as everything else has been completed for the year! With sunny days comes paint projects which started with me painting our knife block and a few other accent pieces for our kitchen. I absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Come the weekend, we had dirty kids, laundry piles and anniversaries to celebrate. Tim treated me to The Fork for dinner which was amazing! We even scored a free patio table that was alongside the road for the fire pit too!!!  WIN WIN. Happy 12 years of bliss Love!

High Temps Brings Out the Swim Suits

What a fantastic week of perfect outside conditions, warm temperatures and completion of some school work! Addison has finished 3 of her school workbooks for the year with a few more to go before the full summer swing of things gets going. The slip-n-slides made an appearance as did the sprinklers and hose wars to cool off and play with the neighbor friends. Tim and I had a great date night with dinner at Packer's and a pleasant car ride through the carwash before heading home. (because that's just what you do on dates?) And so the week comes to a close with a little garage sale hunting, storage un-doing and the usual house-work and chores. Just a few more weeks and school is done! This mama is ready for a teacher break!

Pranks, Travel, and Fun

Our week started with a visit to the hand therapist in Bellingham for some thumb/wrist pain I've been experiencing. I was given orders to take six weeks off from work (yeah right) and any other duties that would cause pain such as mopping floors, vacuuming, push-ups (okay, I'll consider that!). The kids enjoyed the downtown views and coffee treats on the way home too! Tim is traveling this week and into next skipping around to three different states and being able to have some pretty cool experiences thanks to work. He went to the Arbor Day Foundation yearly shin-dig and was wowed by their hospitality and events. He planted a tree in Elements honor, toured some museums, ate like a king, and got all cleaned up in a sharp looking suit. He's now in the south west and busy doing what he does best. Myself and the kids are so proud of Daddy! I on the other hand ran a 1/2 marathon this weekend split into two legs at the Mt. Si Relay in North Bend. More to come on this on the family blog! What a great day with temperamental weather conditions! God has been good to our family this week and even better as we see sunshine and high temps for the next week!
