He Is Risen Indeed!

This week started with scheduled appointments and fun-filled days, but ended up driving south to Portland as my mom was too weak and sick to do it herself. Daughter to the rescue! The kids and I picked up Nana early Thursday morning and drove south to Grandma Judy's house where she watched the kids during Auntie Traci's oncology appointment. She then continued to bless us with a homemade meal and yummy brownies leaving none for Grandpa John to devour. It was a quick trip as we turned back home Friday afternoon missing all traffic and having relatively happy travelers in the backseat. There was some coffee's with friends, small group meetings, and shopping with girlfriends. Good Friday service was missed but not without much thought. The impact of the events that occurred years ago are just as present in our today. We do indeed serve a RISEN Savior and I'm forever grateful for the saving grace Christ offered to me as He sacrificed His Son on the cross. From egg hunts to delicious ham dinner, the kids are well blessed and high on sugar!
Happy Easter!

Just a Regular Week

Nothing special about the week. The weather was gorgeous and led to lots more yard work being done and time outside to play for the kids. I absolutely LOVE seeing Spring burst through with bright vibrant greens and the flowers budding with colors! Tim took his first bike ride south on I-5 to Portland and was very successful and enjoyed every minute of the ride. Me…nervous wreck until he got home! The kids got their new armored jacket for when they ride with daddy making me feel a tiny bit better when they go for their joy-rides. As for me riding with My Love…well, that will take some more bribing to get me to go for a ride! Sunday during my time of helping at the 11am service, Tim and the kids went grocery shopping - THANK YOU!!!  I also had a warm, quite enjoyable 6 mile run at Hovander Park with Christie & Melissa as we are preparing for a rely race in 2 weeks. We ended the week with a great dinner, lots of laughter, and blossoming friendships at the Copper Hog. Now it's time to get the school week going again!

Spring Break

This was the week where kids could sleep in, set school books aside, play with friends until the sun went down, have sleepovers, relax and have some fun. I was so thankful for the days of sunshine as it allowed me to start the yard clean up which seems endless with the size yard we have. I was also able to catch up with three AMAZING friends this week over tea and coffee! Myriam managed to DESTROY her room AGAIN with her artistic abilities with #2 as this time things went from near ceiling, down the walls, furniture, BOTH girls' beds, and floors. I had no crib to throw out but, her bed rail was the next best thing to make it's way to the dump. Addison and Charlie did some fabulous pottery painting and ate some cavity-filled bowls with yummy frozen yogurt followed by dinner at Papa & Nana's! The week ended with a pleasant visit from some of our Oregon friends, a training run at Riverside Park and messy ribs for dinner. Time to get the coffee pot ready for the morning as routine kicks in bright and early!

day 91 - the yard work begins…and will always continue
