Single Awareness Week

The week where everyone tells everyone they love each other with chocolates, flowers, and sweet cards. The kids made Valentine cupcakes for Daddy's work and delivered some to the neighbors too. Of course we had dark chocolates at home to enjoy with homemade cards and gifts from friends. Papa and Nana were soaking up the sun on a cruise with Gigi and Auntie Traci. Even though its still winter time the sun has been peaking through the clouds lots this week and then came the high winds that always scare mommy and make her think every tree is going to come crashing down on the house. Happy Valentine's Week!

Chilling our Way Through February

Okay folks. The month for couples to spend money on a day that I think is silly when every day should be Valentine's day. The month full of New Year's resolutions completely side-tracked with chocolate roses, truffles, and my favorite, chocolate dipped strawberries. We started the month with chores, sunshine, and preparations for tropical trips and plan to end it with birthday celebrations. With leftovers from game-day comes harder workouts and healthy choices later in the day too. Someone needs to eat them! What a waste to leave yummy bean dip or butter-smothered bread sit and go to waste?!! I took one for the team. As a past client used to say it, "Happy Single Awareness Month!"

The Month is Done...

The month of January has been CRAZY!  Tim has been busy with first of the year travels, meetings, and getting things up and running again at the Windmill. The weather has been gorgeous so afternoons outside are much welcomed to keep the house clean for an extra hour or two. My allergies are flaring up as it's been that warm and confusing for the seasons! God is doing some really exciting stuff in our lives and we are thankful for everyone in ours that loves and supports us.

day 20 - chilly but not too cold to ride on the "morcycle"…beware, she's a distracted driver!

day 21 - new wash machine was installed; time to catch up on the mountain size piles of dirties

day 22 - my lemon head

day 23 - grandma broersma always makes cookies for everyone else so addi made grandma cookies with love notes and thank you cards

day 24 - can't leave san francisco before a group shot in front of the golden gate bridge

day 25 -  afternoon bike ride to auntie becky's turned into nap time

day 26 - i love the weather! i got a 5 mile run in, addi had a joy-ride with daddy and charlie played basketball all in the SUNSHINE!

Mid January

Week three and still no more snow for our mild winter. I'm thankful for safe travels this week but also for friendships, our church, and laughing with my girls. With the boys out for a few days, it left me to spend some mommy/daughter time alone with my little loves.

day 14 - yummy blueberry muffins

day 15 - playtime with cousins

day 16 - spending time with auntie during her chemotherapy treatment and showing off the second lost tooth!

day 18 - siblings having fun making dinner

day 19 - dare to be event at ncctk with friends and family
